Spider in a smaller layout

The tableau contains seven columns rather than ten. Four complete same-suit King-to-Ace runs win the game. The smaller deck does not remove the need to manage suit changes. Spiderette on 708-yuan.com uses one 52-card deck with all four suits.

Seven growing columns

Keep these points in mind. The opening tableau contains 28 cards altogether. The first opening column contains one card and each following column contains one more. The seventh opening column contains seven cards. Only the bottom card of each initial column is face up.

Twenty-four stock cards

The following details apply here. The final stock deal contains three cards for the first three columns. The stock is used in deals of seven, seven, seven and three cards. Spiderette begins with 24 cards in the stock. A full stock deal adds one card to each of the seven columns.

Place an exposed card

Here are the details for this mode. A King can enter only an empty column because no rank is higher. A single exposed card can land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. Any exposed card may enter an empty column. A destination card may belong to a different suit.

One suit travels together

Selecting a shorter matching segment can reveal an available group move. A movable group must be face up and descend in one suit. A mixed-suit descending sequence cannot move as one group. The selected group's leading card determines which destination rank is legal.

Open the hidden layout

Keep these points in mind. No separate click is needed to reveal a newly uncovered card. An exposed hidden card can create another possible destination. Moving all exposed cards off a hidden card turns that hidden card face up. Undo restores a hidden card's earlier state when the revealing action is reversed.

Keep columns occupied

Keep these points in mind. An empty column prevents dealing even when only the final three stock cards remain. A stock deal may interrupt a sequence you were assembling. This Spiderette version requires every column to contain a card before a stock deal. Any valid movable group can fill an empty column.

Collect all four suits

The following details apply here. A qualifying run contains thirteen cards of one suit from King down to Ace. One run is needed for spades, hearts, clubs and diamonds. Four collected runs account for every card in the deck. A complete face-up run is removed automatically from the bottom of a column.

Useful practice controls

The following details apply here. A random Spiderette shuffle is not advertised as guaranteed winnable. Undo reverses a successful move or stock deal while recent history is available. Hint suggests a legal move without checking every possible future continuation. Replay starts the same Spiderette shuffle again.
